Thin Air Broadcasting provides the UK's only 32APSK HD SNG truck

Following a recent upgrade, Thin Air Broadcasting now has the only UK based SNG truck with the capability to provide HD MPEG4/H.264 encoding with up to 32 APSK modulation and 16 channels of audio.
The use of MPEG4/H.264 encoding and higher order modulation schemes, as defined by the DVBS2 standard, can significantly reduce the satellite bandwidth (and hence cost) needed to transmit the highest quality HD video.
Thin Air Broadcasting has installed the latest Adtec EN81 multi-standard HD MPEG4 encoder-modulators, which offer the full range of coding and modulation standards, to allow broadcasters to take advantage of the latest developments in satellite technology.
